Stillness of Motion — A Continuing Inquiry

Stillness of Motion explores the paradox of movement within stillness, tracing how gesture, material and time leave their imprint. Through layered textures, restrained tones and forms suspended between emergence and dissolution, the paintings evoke the transient nature of presence and the persistence of memory.

The 2025 works extend this inquiry through sweeping gestures and descending pigment, alongside curved forms set against expansive fields of light. Together, they consider movement as a process of memory, transformation and perception.

Across the series, abstraction holds what cannot be fixed: the fleeting encounter between light and matter, and the quiet persistence of what has passed. Stillness becomes not an endpoint, but a space where movement continues to unfold.
