Vestige is an ongoing series of abstract paintings examining what remains after time, weather and memory have altered the landscape. Inspired by the relationship between architecture and the natural world, the works explore surfaces that appear excavated, eroded and quietly enduring.

Each painting is developed through successive layers of acrylic and mixed media, applied predominantly with a palette knife to build depth, texture and subtle shifts in light. Mineral whites, stone greys, charcoal, muted blues and restrained metallic accents create compositions that feel both structured and organic, balancing solidity with fragility.

Rather than representing a specific place, Vestige distils the essence of landscape into abstract form. Every work stands as an individual piece while contributing to an evolving body of work that reflects on permanence, transformation and the traces that time leaves behind.
